help me with samba server!

I have 3 computers. one is used as samba server.One is WindowsXP and the other is win me. I can access to samba server from win me but I can not access to samba server from windowsXP, athough I can see my samba server. What is the problem? Can any body help me ?

It's probably have something to do with password encryption in Windows NT based OS. Read the documents that come with Samba about this problem.

Make sure:
-That all the subnets match
-The built in firewall on the XP is disabled or that ports 135 - 139 are enabled.

-in the smb.conf file that:
--security = SHARE
--workgroup = YOURGROUPNAME

that's about all the things I ran into.

This works with smbd v2.0.1 with all the updates on XP there shouldn't be any problems. if you still cant access the server let me know.
