If you change the password, he'll suspect something. I'd boot from a Linux CD like Knoppix to see what's on the hard drive without leaving any evidence.

It wont matter if he knows you've changed his password when he is behind bars!

In that case, 3Dave, it wouldn't. But if she's wrong, then she won't have to make up excuses to avoid saying she suspected him of being a pedophile. That sort of thing hurts relationships. Also, if we really want to be paranoid, one should consider the case where the boyfriend rigged Windows with some sort of deadman's switch, so if someone else starts it but doesn't kill a startup program, it dumps the stash after a few minutes.

get a copy of linux, any with a boot cd , i like mandrake move, it operates from the cd so no files are written on the hard drive,you can roam through the whole computer and see any files/pictures/films etc, make a copy and confront him. or if you can get evidence that he is puposefully downloading such indecent stuff(and not just getting hijacked from some innocent porn site) then cut off his familly jewels and then explain why. i hate computers! but cant help myself....
