Lindows ... good? bad? ugly? Has anyone used it, and if so, what is it like?

Yes and I didn't like it. You'd be better off with something like Mandrake or RedHat.
Search these forums for "lindows" and you should find some previous threads on it.

Yup Lindows is just waste of time. You should stick to "pure linux".

I have the latest builds of both Mandrake and RedHat. I also have Peanut Linux, Solaris 8, BeOS Pro 5.0.3, Ensemble Geos, New Deal Office 2000 Geos, QNX and various versions of Windoze. I just saw Lindows as something that looked interesting to play with and wanted people's opinions on how it ran; not as something to use as an everyday OS. I prefer BeOS as my everday OS. :) So, is it easy to use? Is it more Windows-like? More Linux-like? Anything you care to add is fine.

As far as I remember, you have to login as root....it didn't give me many options during install (which may be a good thing for some!=o) and it relied too heavily on wine. Although I play around with wine at home to play games etc I try to steer clear of here at work due to unstability.
