Type "df" and then enter (Without the quotation marks). You will be given the space used and left on that partition of hard drive where your linux is installed.

Not sure if this works with Slack, but you might want to stick a "-h" after the df to make it human readable (size given in megs and gigs). Note that df -h only works on mounted volumes.
