Hard disk not detected

OS: Linux + Windows
CPU/Ram: pentium duo/1 gb

Hi
I have windows on my system and trying to install linux,which I did many times before.But now none of the linux (FC& Ububtu Suse ) is able to detect my hard disk.Installation stops at partition creation whwre it fails to detect my hard disk

Try using Gparted (a free, non-destructive partitioning live cd you can download here: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/)

You can use Gparted to partition your HD and then install your Linux distro.

Which version of Windows are you using? Good luck.

One thing further: If you get an error message when you click the link do a google search for gparted and choose the sourceforge link there.

If it fails at parition time that means it is detecting hdd, i also faced similar problem, but later found there was some error in data cable .. which read same CD some time and deney it next time..
