Hard disk not detected

Hi I have windows on my system and trying to install linux,which I did many times before.But now none of the linux (FC& Ububtu Suse ) is able to detect my hard disk.Installation stops at partition creation whwre it fails to detect my hard disk
You can use Gparted to partition your HD and then install your Linux distro.
Which version of Windows are you using? Good luck.

One thing further: If you get an error message when you click the link do a google search for gparted and choose the sourceforge link there.

If it fails at parition time that means it is detecting hdd, i also faced similar problem, but later found there was some error in data cable .. which read same CD some time and deney it next time..
