I think the only real threat is from the US government. The USA PATRIOT act, weakening Posse Comitatus, TIPs, and other post-9/11 inititatives threaten our freedom more than foreign terrorists.
This is of course in addition to pre-9/11 legislation like the DMCA that trash the Bill of Rights.
I'm in no way supporting the terrorists, I just want to remind everyone that we're in a war that allows Bush to attack anyone (Iraq next?), and even arrest (military-style) US citizens as ememies in the "war on terrorism".
