Is there something in Ubuntu like Remote Desktop Connection in windows?

Other than VNC what can I use? Most importantly I want something like a Remote Desktop Connection in windows.

Can Ubuntu use Terminal Server Client? Is it like a GUI type and something like Remote Desktop Connection in windows?
I will be using Ubuntu from a virtual machine.

A few things. FreeNX, 2X, (nomachine) quite a number of vnc's, xdmcp (x windows).

Along with that windows integration with active directory, terminal services and remote desktop to a windows machine. You have it I assume Rdesktop.

Be sure you know if your VM can open the proper ports both ways. Not to mention you have to allow ports in the firewalls.

Might play with Knoppix terminal services too. Knoppix has a few clicks and you can remote boot a pxe client from a Knoppix booted computer and run nomachine. Well worth learning.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
