Peg, I'm not sure why Grub does not work for you. Did you install it on the MBR?
Do a little research in the RedHat online manuals to backtrack and spot any errors you might of made during Grub install.
If you can not boot up XP and want to resolve this problem for now, a quick fix would be to first make a RedHat boot disk. Then restart your computer with a 98 boot floppy and do a "fdisk /mbr". This should allow you to boot XP. If you want to boot RH just boot off the floppy you made.
thank for information but I install grub on" /boot" hd(0,1) I wonder how grub see hde1 is? it's say hd(1,0) maybe here is problem? Anyone known?? thank
