grub boot loader & fat32 to ntfs

Hello I boot my computer with grub boot loder my first partition is fat32 and windows xp is installed on it I want to change file system of this partition to ntfs. will grub work any more after this change? or won't (my kernel doesn't compile to support read and write on ntfs) --plz help

Since grub is located in the MBR and probably has the other files it needs on your linux /boot partition, then no it shouldn't be a problem

i use xp on ntfs file system and use grub as well. grub is just a choosing program and has nothing to do with fat32 or ntfs. you can convert to ntfs wihout any problems

don't use ntfs unless you don't wanna read&write on your windoze partition from linux.
