I did a clean install of Linux 7.3 and things seem to work fine at first. But after several logins, my gnome panel disappeared! I am certain I did not mess up any configuration files nor upset any settings, so now I am wondering what could be wrong. Thanks for any help.

If anyone out there has a fix or an idea on the problem e-mail me too :D

the panel that is missing can be retrived by emulating a terminal window in the gnome desktop by right clicking and then typing panel..
this is no permanent solution since every time you log in in the gnome environ you have to do the same
