I have RH7.1, running the latest gnome. But when I down loaded the newest gnome desktop and installed it, I lost KDE, which used to show up where you type root and passwd. You used to be able to choose desktop manager...now you still can but KDE is gone.
Where did it go and how do I get it back?

thanks

Jerry

Try looking for "[flux] Changing Login from Gnome to KDE" in the list archive at http://flux.telecampus.com/

As for me I set the Xconfigurator to "not to startx when start". So when I start, will go to command line. If I want to go to KDE, I run "kdm" If I want to go to Gnome, I run "gdm". Your KDE is still there.. I did try switchdesk... but it doesnt work..
