When I get rid of Mandrake my LILO is still up and asks me to select my OS system. How do I get rid of that?
That will format the mbr, not restore it. You won't be able to boot any other OS's after formatting the mbr.

You don't "restore" the mbr. If you're installing win9x/ME, the mbr is empty anyway.
