fsck or e2fsck

how to use fsck or e2fsck, what's the different between this two.

fsck (File System ChecK) reads /etc/fstab
to find the file system type and it then
uses the appropriate tool (eg reiserfsck,
e2fsck etc)

e2fsck is the binary for checking linux
extended 2nd file systms. Best off just
using fsck.

$ man fsck
# fsck /dev/hda1
