If you are just looking for access to the Internet you do not need any particle client. Most flavas of Linux have a built in DIAL-UP (diald) server in them. RH for instance has several utilties that enable me to dialup to my ISP and logon (recently started using an old computer with a router and FREESCO [www.freesco.org]...it was easier to use the Internet with). I believe that AOL is currently working on a Linux Client for its services though. Goto their webpage for more info.
