Comment:

I have a Linux system running Apache...I also have formmail.pl running from the cgi directory but I cannot access 'sendmail' because another program has disabled it, which is okay. Does anyone know how I can use formmail.pl with a local SMTP server rather than 'sendmail'? Thanks!

You could try substituting sendmail for mail in the script.

Alternatively, edit the script to speak directly to the SMTP server itself without using an external mail program. It's not that difficult, especially if you use the Net::SMTP module.
