Hi all, I need help with Firefox 3.0 on Ubuntu 9.04.

First of all, whenever I go on a page that requires SWF, I get a message asking me to install the missing plugins. Well, I've tried all three available packages, and not-a-one of 'em is a-workin'. Every time I go on Computing.Net, for example, the advertisements that are animated cause Firefox to ask me to install the plugins. Youtube: FireFox asks me to "search for restricted software".

And you know what's funny? Firefox doesn't know how to spell "FireFox".

I hope Windows 7 is better than Vista.
The Ubuntu project sure is.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Thanks, but that doesn't really solve my problem(s).

I've just discovered FireFox can't play flash games; says they're "flash movies" or videos. For example, Grooveshark displays as a blank blue screen; and, as a test, I went on Miniclip. Only some games work there. I think I have all the flash plugin packages installed. But Youtube works.

I hope Windows 7 is better than Vista.
The Ubuntu project sure is.

Nevermind, just had to uninstall one of the plugin packages, then Macromedia's Flash (or was it Adobe?) worked.

Please lock this thread.

I hope Windows 7 is better than Vista.
The Ubuntu project sure is.
