Have you tried to see if kazaa works using wine?

Haven't tried it myself but it might be possible

I haven't been able to get KaZaA (lite) working in WINE. There used to be a Linux client, but when KaZaA broke compatability with Morpheus, they also broke compatability with the Linux client and never fixed it.

You can get Direct Connect and eDonkey clients for Linux in addition to the programs mentioned above. Just do a google search.
