Hi, I was searching for file sharing programs under Linux, but so far no luck :(. Is there anything like Direct Connect or Kazaa for Linux? I read somewhere that there was a Linux version of Kazaa, but it's not working any more?! Can you please tell me what sotfware could I use. Thank in advance

Have you tried to see if kazaa works using wine?
Haven't tried it myself but it might be possible

I haven't been able to get KaZaA (lite) working in WINE. There used to be a Linux client, but when KaZaA broke compatability with Morpheus, they also broke compatability with the Linux client and never fixed it.
You can get Direct Connect and eDonkey clients for Linux in addition to the programs mentioned above. Just do a google search.

As well as edonkey, give emule a go.
I used to use the console kazaa client (which like you say doesn't work anymore), and gift which can search multiple networks, not sure if it is still going though...have a look on freshmeat.net
Summary: If you want to run Windows programs under Linux, take a look at vmware at http://www.vmware.com which is not "cheap," by the way... However, there are a lot of programs for Linux which are simila...
