Hello Guy's
i got samba server setup & print server BUT i cant connect to my printer :/ it says Access Denied ! ok here what i want to do !
I wana make this server as my print / file server so my window pc's can connetct to it PLUS i dont want any PW or USERNAME on linux box . because i dont want to enter pw & usr name everytime i wana print . is there a way i can make it so i dont have to enter pw / usr

Don't worry about it unless it keeps you from actually printing. I have an Epson 800 on my samba server and I also have the "access denied" statement on all of the windows workstations. They still can print to it, and they have for three years now.
I think the reason for the error message is because there is no two-way communication between the windows workstations and the printer.
As far as the password thing is concerned,
you'll have to create a user account on the Linux box, then add that user as a samba user by typing
smbpasswd -a user
at the command prompt.Then you'll have to set up that same user on your windows box, and run from that user account.

I think you can use winbind to keep track of windoze usernames etc. Do you have a password server on your domain? If so you can set your security setting to "domain" and use that server for authentication.
