Hello,
I am having trouble installing Fedora Core 1 on my Pentium 120 computer. Before I have installed Red Hat 9 so anaconda in gui works with my computer. First I should say that I had a heck of a time finding an iso without errors. All the mirrors I used had problems, so I had to go on very late and use the main server to download it. Then I got disk one to pass the test but the other two didn't. I figured that I could at least try installing with that disk becuase I am only installing X server without GNOME. Anyway I go through anaconda with GUI and right when it starts the install it gives me this message:

Are you trying to install Fedora Core 1 on your
Pentium 120??? I don't think it will work since it needs a little faster processor than that (and probably more RAM than what you currently have). Therefore, either try Slackware, Damn Small Linux, or even older version of RedHat Linux like 7.x!!!taurus

Thanks for the response,
I checked the web page and they say fedora supports the pentium 120 but dont recomend it even for text based. My problem is with my monitor (Proview PRO-510). For some reason, Red Hat 9 and Debian both can't recognize it even though they have the driver in the driver list. Red Hat has an "unprobed monitor" and that is the only way I can get it to work. For this reason I wanted to try Fedora. I realize GNOME will never run fast enough on this computer so I will set up Fluxbox. Any ideas about getting the monitor to work on smaller distributions.
