Tyler_d I had a problem installing grub on my system it wasn't a problem if I didn't reinstall windows. as windows replaces grub. what I did to prevent problems with grub/ windows was to install grub on the mbr of the second hd(where FC2 is) during setup I chose to swap the hdd's thus enabling me to install grub on the second hd. another option is to install grub onto a boot floppy and use that( not sure how to do that) an easer way would be to use a dos boot disk with loadlin (loadlin can boot linux from a dos prompt) using an older bootdisk (rh9) will need to be modified to use the new kernel from FC2.

hope all this helps

Most linux distributions will install a boot loader and automatically find your windows partition, the ones this I know do are Mandrake and Red Hat.

to make it so you can easily delete linux without a problem in the future, you should make a 30 to 50 MB linux partition mounted on /boot (it should ask where you want to mount durring the format stage if you choose to configure your own partitions, and many distributions also do this automatically without asking too)
and simply leave that partition if and when you delete linux and windows will still boot properly

Many distros have the command mkbootdisk, which may need to be run as root (NB Slackware uses makebootdisk). Alternatively you can just copy across your boot loader with:
# dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/fd0 bs=512 count=1
(The above should work for IDE systems)
