I have a mandrake system running, and recently I've been trying to run linux on my xbox (softmod ofcourse). I made a copy of the xbox hd (which uses FATX). this was saved into a bin file. now the problem is that none of the software to read FATX works... so then I check out the ability to read FATX with linux. There are several linux oses that can read FATX.
My question is, How do I enable my mandrake system to read FATX without reinstalling a linux specific to Xboxs?
I was think it's something like captive... but that only does ntfs. any ideas?

What distro are you trying to install on it...mandrake? From the xbox-linux FAQ:
What happend to Xbox Linux Mandrake 9?
We don't offer it any more, as it is horribly outdated and won't work with newer (=most) Xboxes. There is no successor (yet). Please use another distribution.
I would suggest gentoo (or gentoox) myself:
