fatal server error: no screens foun

CPU/Ram: 1000Mhz/96Mb

when i startx the server dies and displays something like this:
(EE)screens found but no usable configuration
fatal server error: no screens found

any ideas on how to fix this?

check /var/log/XFree86.0.log

try "frink36 " suggestion on video card installation....

Type in: XF86Config

It will take you through step by step setting up Keyboard, mouse, Video Card and monitor. Just read everything carefully, and it should be easy.
