ok. First, the more extensive question...I have an HP EN1207D-TX PCI 10/100 fast ethernet card, and i dont really know THAT much about configuring devices. i have a dual boot with linux and XP. Now, in order to connect linux to the internet, i know i have to go into internet configuration wizard, ethernet connection, and then from there im not really sure what to do. i did a little research and found that this card should be compatible with linux (i have 7.3). But do i need to download a driver? do i need to install a kernel module? im not even sure what that is or how you do that? can anyone help???

if no one can help with this specific card, then can anyone just point me in the right direction to configuring linux for an internet connection.

Thanks

You mean that RedHat Linux 7.3 didn't find
your ethernet card when it boots up!!!
Version 7.2 found mine right away when I
put it in long after I have installed the
OS on my computer. Otherwise, go into KDE
and configure it using the KDE Control Panel!
