I both have the OS Windows XP and Linux(UBANDU) which is recently installed. I have broadband internet connection and is worked very well in both OS. Last day, while browsing using linux, I lost internet connection some how and I found that Ethernet is not working. I checked my modem in another computer and it is working properly. At the start up, I am getting a message "Local Area Connection A network cable is unplugged" Now, I am using USB port to access internet but it is not working in Linux. Can you pls.help me to fix the problem of Ethernet?

Do you have the live cd of ubuntu and does it work on the live cd?

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, are in my top 10
