Ethernet Card Setup in Gentoo

Comment:
I am using Gentoo Linux with Kernel 1.6.5 and I have a driver for my Network Everywhere NC100 Ethernet Card but I am not sure how to install my card. I have tulip.c from what I extracted. I looked at the readme.txt and tried Google but no luck and if I did find something it was for another Linux dist.

Just configure the kernel as normal with the tulip driver. What do you mean "tulip.c that I extracted"? Did you find ths on some website somewhere? If so - forget about it. I doubt you'll need any of the extra support options for the tulip driver but select them too if you like (the two or three that mention LinkSys anyway).

As root (hence the "#" prompt), try typing: # modprobe tulip
