Comment:

I've just installed Linux, my Envision EN-910e monitor is plug and play. The video card is nVidia GeForce4 Ti-4600.
Why does it say "unprobed monitor" when I configure the display. I would like something better than 800x600. Is there a file that I can edit, or a driver to download?

If the monitor is unprobed you have to set the
horizontal and vertical sync rates manually. Usually they are supplied in your user manual or from the manufacturer web site. Unfortunately Envision only lists the horizontal sync rate on their site for the EN-910e: Horizontal: 30K~95KHz
You still need the vertical sync rate. If you do not know it then you need to contact them for it. If you try to guess you could damage your monitor.
