I just installed the latest version of Ubuntu on my Hp Pavillion Notebook. Everything works great.....however I do have this one nagging problem. Whenever I turn on my laptop, it shows the ubuntu logo and the loading bar.....however it would load to a certain point and then I would have to hold down the "Enter" key for it to keep on loading. It also does this whenever I put the pc to sleep or shutdown....again i would have to hold down the "enter" key. Has anyone run into this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? I did a clean install of the Ubuntu OS......i just don't see what the problem could be.....any help would be appreciated.

well, seems that enter is the fix. Normally that would suggest that some question is posed on the screen and you accepted it.

As to why you can't see the message I don't know.

Might try to press esc key to show boot messages if ubuntu supports that.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
