Subject: ensoniqe pci and webcam on redhat 8OS: RedHat 8.0 kernel 2.4.18-CPU/Ram: tbird 900 / 256 |
Comment: My redhat installation keeps detecting my logitech usb web cam as a sound device, which keeps my real sound card (creative ensoniqe pci) from working properly. When I go to the soundcard detection utility, it shows the ensoniqe as being the detected sound card, however, when I run sndconfig, it detects my webcam and states that it is not supported... Has anyone else had this problem? ; and if so is there a work around aside from disconnecting my webcam? thanks in advance. the sound card and speakers are fine; i'm dual booting with XP and they work fine from windows.
