Comment:

am trying to run tightvnc but don't know how to start it on my remote linux server.

am new to linux, but installed via the rpm but when i start tightvnc viewer on my home desktop it fails to connect so i assume it because the server version of tightvnc is not running.

so if someone can tell me command to start it up? i have tried through ssh service tightvnc start but says unrecognized service

I assume that most or all is the same. Might be a port change if any difference between vnc and tightvnc.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, are in my top 10
