Hi, on my school network we have SUSE 11 server and we use telnet i have use vi editor to edit which i don't like, how can i open Emacs on telnet session, i don't gave admin rights.
Emacs is install at /usr/share/emacs
any help will be great.thanks

You should start with the school tech department. We don't want you to get kicked out.

i did google search but didt find help.
I will talk to school admin, but i want know is it possiable to run emacs from telnet? as you know sys admins might tell me its not possiable he might think i dont know anything about linux lol..Dont give up

My statement was a bit misleading to incorrect. I should have stated that we can't say for sure. Too many variables.
In almost all cases linux/unix/solaris runs many base and common applications over any number of terminal or other antique (if you will) connections.

To edit file foo.c, typeemacs foo.c&
in a command window, if you are at a console, or
emacs foo.c
if you are using telnet."
