Hi.

I have problems burning data dvd:s. I seem to be able to burn to dvds because I can see the "burn marks" on the acctual disk after the burn program ejects the dvd. However when I load the dvd it is recognized as a blank disk. This happends with every burn-program I have used (k3b, x-cd roast, nautilus). It doesnt mather if I create an iso image first and then burn it or if I burn DAO. I have had this problem with every disk I have tried to burn exept once. I dont know what I did differently that one time since it hasnt worked since.
This shouldnt be any hardware issues since my comuter is new.

Anything that could help me in the right direction would be appriciated. Also excuse my poor spelling, English isnt my main language.

Have you tried different media. Maybe it's the brand of disc you are using.

Having said that I have had similar issues where one dvd drive shows it as blank but when I try it on a different drive it reads it fine.

Maybe make sure that you are finalising the discs? How about burning at a slower speed? Does the same happen with CDs?
