Hi,
I have Redhat 7.1, how do I get my DVD drive and CD writer to work? I am using KDE.

They are working! But i think you mean to view a dvd or burn a cd? oh, thats easy, to view a dvd goto www.viedeolan.org, catch vlc-0.81.tar.gz or so file untar it with
tar xvfz vlc-file.tar.gz
cd vlc-file.tar.gz
do a ./configure make than change to root su ******** make install
your dvd will work now, if you type vlc on a bash.
your writer is the same, look for a burning software for linux install and your in!
