I am trying to dual boot XP and Slackware 9.0 . I repartitioned using Partition Magic and installed Slackware. I have tried installing LILO to the MBR , that didn't work, and Installing it on /dev/hda2 (my linux partition) which didn't work either. By "didn't work" I mean that Linux boots up fine but won't show Windows. I went and put Windows in the lilo.conf but it still won't show windows. When I created my Linux parttions with cfdisk , I made the Linux partition bootable, and I have also tried making the Windows partition bootable (when I installed LILO in the MBR). Anyway, running out of ideas, I know its very possible to do, but I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks.

how are you editing your lilo.conf, the cl I hope.
Are you adding this for you Win Partition:
other = /dev/hda2 (or whatever) label = Windows table = /dev/hda
This will add Windows to your lilo.conf in the MBR.
IMPORTANT: are you typing in lilo in the cl after your done editing it. You have to do this for the changes to be made.

i just installed slack along side winxp. i had xp installed then installed slack with lilo on the linux partition. this will still only boot into xp. i then used a program called boot part to add the linux partition to ntloaded so at bootup i have ntloader with the choices of xp and linux. i then select linux and it brings me to lilo from which i boot into linux.
