anyone using this two distros on a diferent partitions? Coz im having problem booting my redhat8.0. It only boots on mandrake9.0 which located on the first partition. I already made some changes on menu.lst on mandrake /boot/grub folder to llink to redhat8.0, and still doest work.
do i need to change the lilo.conf at mandrake?
If some1 here knows how to do this or currently using this setup, could you show me the content of menu.lst. Appreciate any help!

NOTE: im using the Mandrake9.0 as my default boot loader (grub).

Hi,

What changes did you makein the menu.lst file? I copied the line that was present in my RedHat's grub.conf file, and it is working fine... If you want I can send my menu.lst file.

I am also using Mandrake 9, Redhat 8, and grub as bootloader, both OSes are working fine.

I have three OSes on a PC: Windows 98 (why
the heck am I still keeping Windows 98 on my
PC anyway???), Mandrake 9.0, and SuSE 8.1.
I use lilo as my boot manager and don't have
any problem booting either one of those three.

I have the same setup: Win XP Pro, Redhat 8, Mandrake 9, all on the same hd. Make sure the bootloaders for redhat and mandrake are within their partitions. Then Install system commander on C (win XP)... it will find all the OSs by itself. I have no prob logging.... but the linux distros are messed up (no X windows there... working from command prompt)
