Dual boot Linux & Windows 98

I am thinking of buying a new PC with the above specs which is being offered as a package by a local store. It comes with Mandrake (9?) installed. I might like to partition the disk & install Win 98 on a dual boot basis. Can I do the disk partitioning under Linux as that is how the PC comes ? My background is as a Win 95 user.
