All kidding aside. RedHat Linux 8.0 (the official release) is not out yet so you can't download it at this moment. However, it may be out early next week or real soon after that... Hold your horses and maybe go read a book or something while you are waiting for it to release!

Since i have tried null wich i suspect is the base of or even RH 8.0 i cant wait to get my hands on it. Its peculiar but the thing was much faster than RH 7.3 on my athlon. I have never in my life seen a version of anything OS software being faster than previous version. The only problem i had was getting the nvidia drivers running because they are compiled on gcc 2.96 but RH8.0 is compiled in gcc 3.2. Should be solved pretty easy by nvidia once it is released.

RedHat is due shortly, mirrors have appeared on redhats official ftp mirrors. The directories are of course forbidden, but this is the same behaviour as every RedHat release.

I have tried to download null version and failed each time. Could be the burninig process or the download process, but I could not complete the install. For this reason I am looking forward to Redhat 8.0, but I have been blocked at every site. Does Redhat Have an official release date?

Hi! I've tried downloading RedHat8.0 instantly as it was released. But unfortunately the ftp server at RedHat chrashed as many were trying the same.
Anyway, the adress for ISO images still is: ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/8.0/en/iso/i386
I'll probably wait some days until they've got mirrored it over to closer European sites and traffic load drops: http://www.redhat.com/download/mirror.html
Regards! Serious :-)

Hey guys,
I am currently downloading all 5 iso files from http://www.tux.org/pub Note this is NOT an ftp, it is an http server, however all the files are there and im getting relatively good speeds (considering im downloading all 5 at once) Go to that site above and you will be placed in the http file server where you can navigate to http://www.tux.org/pub/distributions/redhat/releases/redhat-8.0/en/iso/i386/ and download the 5 redhat 8.0 iso images. Take care and always support the OpenSource community in your community by sreading the good word (of opensource, that is).
