ok. here's what my system looks like right now:
hd0
c: [dos]
d: [windows98]hd1
[linux]
i installed redhat after installing and setting up dos and win98, but when i select win98 from grub, it won't load. i get errors stating that it cannot find himem.sys and other files.how can i remedy this, as well as add dos to the lilo menu?
...to add a bit more confusion, i tried doing 'fdisk /mbr' from a win98 boot disk. but windows says the same thing (can't find himem.sys). so now i have no working os. help!

your problem here is not linux. you have not loaded some drivers for windows or you have missing files. you should not need himem.sys just to run fdisk. this sounds strange. make sure that himem.sys is in your config.sys file on the windows partition. you say that you have no working os. why does your linux system not work??
