From

I found following tutorials;

Comparison of iptables automation tools by
Anton Chuvakin.
Set up an gateway for home or office by
YoLinux.
Iptables basics by Prince
Kenshi(linuxnewbies).
Filtering packets with iptables by Joe
Brockmeier.
Using iptables by Joe Brockmeier
Iptables connection tracking by James C.
Stephens.
Iptables - what is it by James C. Stephens.
Netfilter Log Format by Unknown.
How to use iptables by KrnlPanic
Securing Linux Tutorial by weazyB.
Netfilter tutorial by crhalpin.
Mastering iptables by David Coulson.
Part 1 of an introductory iptables tutorial
by David Coulson.
Part 2 of an introductory iptables tutorial

Kindly advise which of them is most relevant
and simple in setup iptables including masq

Thanks in advance.

Have you already had a look at the HOWTOs on the subject? You proabably already have them installed on your PC (eg IP-Maquerading-HOWTO). If not the Linux Documentation Project is always a good place to start: www.tldp.org

Hi 3Dave,

Thanks for your advice.

$locate howto | grep ip-masqerading

could not find it. I will search it at
www.tldp.org

$ locate -i howto | grep -i masqerading

would probably work better. The -i does a case insensitive search, eg howto is often HOWTO.

You should find one on tlpd.org though...

Hi 3Dave,

Thanks for your advice.

I still could not find it from my RH9 box. I found follows with google search;

https://secure.linuxports.com/howto/IP-MASQ/ David Ranch

http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/other-formats/html_single/IP-Masquerade-HOWTO.html v2.00.110903, 2003-11-09 <dranch@trinnet.net>

tlpd.org/www.tlpd.org refers to something else.
