Hai ...

i 'm having suituation to display the message box, when i'm using "crontab". I want to shutdown my system at particular time, before that i want to display message box with some message. when i 'm using "write , talk and wall", it 'll display the message only in terminal, not like a box with "ok" button. Can help me anybody.

If you mean you want an alert to go to the X display try xmessage. You'll have to set the DISPLAY environment variable when you run it and run it as the user who owns the display.
