I have a similar problem. I have installed 5 different versions of Linux (2 redhat, 2 mandrake, 1 turbolinux). I get through the install/config BS fine. The box re-boots, and after the boot-up service lists go by, the monitor goes into sleep mode.

What?

Everytime.

It really sucks.

Books I own to try to solve problem:

* RHCE study guide (Osbourne/Syngress)
* Building a Linux Internet Server (New Riders)
* Linux Bible (Hungry Minds)
* Redhat 9.0 documentation PDF
* Redhat 7.0 documentation PDF
* Mandrake 9.0 documentation PDF
* Mandrake 9.0 documentation PDF

I installed Linux 15 times on a PC over the last two days. Five different versions, each that was aware of my hardware and considered
it Kosher.

I go through the entire config and install setups. After the initial re-boot (right after services started/listed), my screen goes dead. As if it has powered down.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you,

Joe Wilk
