Hi All Linux people,
Well, I am facing a problem, When i run the command
]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/cciss/c0d0p2 31G 30.4G 500M 100% /
/dev/cciss/c0d0p1 99M 15M 79M 16% /boot
none 1004M 0 1004M 0% /dev/shmeven when i check the size of each folder with the command (du -sh / du -h), the compelte size of all folders is not more then 10G.
/var show the 6G and when i check all folder size manually with the command (du -sh / du -h), i can see its not more then 1G.Can any one recommend something .. what should i do know? Any command that can work like we run scandisk in window and then it shows the proper size.
waiting for your earlier response.
Thanks
Sam

Then my guess would be that some issue on the root of the slice is doing this. HP proliant raid?
Did you try all of the suggestions on the other thread?
There are file system checks similar to scandisk. It may be version and file system unique. Normally some command like fsck or similar.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
