when i try to install red hat 7.3 disk druid does not see my 2nd hard drive.
i have 2 hard drives and here is how they r setup:
my first hard drive is a 60 gigger w/ win98se on it w/ the whole thing being fat32.
my second hard drive is a 40 gigger that i have split 3 ways:
the first section of it is 20 gigs partioned as fat32.
the second section is 6 gigs partioned as ntfs that i have win xp pro on.
the third section is the rest of the drive that has never been partitioned. this is where i would like 2 put redhat.
(i was going 2 use redhat8 but after i dloaded and burnt the isos, and started the installation i found out that it was 7.3. so since i didnt have nemore cdrs left i decided 2 go ahead and use 7.3. i dont know if this detail matters.)
a response to another post i made told me 2 use partition magic but i would prefer not 2 use ne third party software.
do i have a choice?
and why wouldn't disk druid see my second hard drive?
ne suggestions?
thank u

one try flushing the mbr to make sure its data is good
dos disk
a prompt
fdisk /mbrthat dosnt work
check your drive geometry
geometry errors often will mess with partiion software even though they are still functional partitions
if dont know specs or how
go to manufacturers website often include such specs and utils for checking theese matters.. dont work repost will try other stuff

thank u. i had received a geometry something error and hit the cancel button when i should have pressed the "ignore" button. when i retried the installation and pressed ignore 2 the error, disk druid acknowledged that he saw my drive. thank u. and hail Kernunnos!!!
