Comment:

I just installed RedHat v7.2 with the KNOME Desktop and installed the Citrix ICA Client for Linux. I have two quetions: First how do I disable the Logon when Linux is booted. This computer is to be used by mulitple users. To make it easier for each users I do not need to them to enter a user name or password to gain access to the desktop.

Second, Where can I add the shortcut to this program so it is automatically loaded when the end user powers it up. Windows handles it though the Start Up, where does RedHat handle it?

Thanks,
Don

The logon is there for evident security reasons!! If your staff don't like that, it doesn't matter to anyone here since our security is more important.

you should read about network security.

You cannot disable the requirement for user names and passwords in any Unix like system that I am aware of.

Incidentally, each of your users has a different desktop. Any programs which need to be run when they login must be configured on every user's desktop.
