Disabling the KDE

Comment:
I'm new to RedHat Linux and I've installed my system with the KDE as my default boot environment. How can I disable this so that the system boots to the command line instead?
The easy way is: Go to the programs menu, select preferences, system, login manager, and check out the tab for convenience and turn off automatic login.

You may also do one of the following:
1) When the lilo prompt comes up you may type:
linux 3 to get into run level three which is for the command line. You will have to do this everytime that you want to use runlevel 3.
2) edit /etc/inittab and edit the line that looks like the following:
id:5:initdefault: to make it look like this.
id:3:initdefault: this will allow you to boot into runlevel three every time.
