Comment:

Has anyone been successful using the kde digital camera tool in RH9? I have a Fuji MX600 digicam connected via one of my serial ports. It defaults to usb port so I type in the path to the serial port: /dev/ttyS1/ but it cannot detect my camera. Any advice?

Do not put the last slash. Just /dev/ttyS1 and see what happen. Also you should try /dev/ttyS0 because that's the first serial port.
