desfragmenter for linux

hi! i was thinking...there is a desfragmenter program for linux like the windows defrag? i use kurumin, a brazilian distro, i searched it and found nothing. could i download it from any linux software site? which s the programs name? or there isn t such a thing?

Under typical conditions, Linux filesystems will never need to be defragmented.

try searchign on source forge (www.sourceforge.net), but as a fair warning: know what you are doing, when you defregment a disk you can potentially lose data!
Jake is right, unlike windows linux is set up in such a way that the system files usually wont get fragmented and will definately won't if you never update the base os (well, depending on whether you formatted your drive so that user files dont interfere with system files, it can even be virtually impossible unless you install patches like crazy, and even then you shouldn't have to worry)

Depends on the filesystem you're using. Saying that, all filesystem included by default in Linux 2.4/2.6 don't need to be defragmented.
