I have just installed Redhat linux 8.0 but the monitor can't display anything. It's a dell flat screen monitor serial number El5lFPp. There seemed to be no problem with the installation.

Very same prob here just yesterday with an Inspiron Series Dell.

Go into your Dell Bios(hit the F2 key at powerup), go into your settings for the video card and set the monitor to 'LCD'. By default the bios is set to 'AUTO', thus enabling both LCD mode as well as CRT.

Good Luck.
