Is cron and related services being restarted?

All permissions available?

When you post a second post some people might suspect the question has been answered.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, are in my top 10

Hi jefro
Thanks a lot for reply.
In fact I am newbie to it.
so instead of answering your question,
I am explaining it.

I had a cron job schedule to run every 10 minute.(mailing purpose.)
When I restart server, say at 9:00 AM then
the job gets executed at every 10 minutes.
But it stops at midmight(at 00:00 hr) for
1 hour. Then it starts executing at every 10 minutes for ever.
But meanwhile (whenever - on same day, after a week, after a month ) if I restart server say at 5:00 PM then also it executes but will stop at midnight for 1 hour.
It stops executing only once after restarting and then never stops, even at midnight second day onwords.

It also not depend on restarting time of server. But if you restart then it stops at mid night for one hour.
I will be waiting for your reply.

Post the cron file. My guess would be the way you counted. Sounds like you missed 1 hour out of 24 being counted.

Hi jefro,
Thanks.
As you wrote to write cron file,I inquired about it to my coligue, then I cam to know that this system cron.
So I am unable to write it.
But I am writing the log.

Follwing is log:
Apr 30 01:10:00 secure CROND[24578]: (root) CMD (/usr/local/bin/weblogs)

This thing is logged for every 10 minutes.

I think something stops executing cron jobs(I think so)because there is one another cron 'bwcron'(which is also system cron)
runs once a day.
It runs at 00:00:00 hr every day.
But when this problem occurs(when server restarts),'bwcron' runs at 01:10:00 or some seconds later.
But 'bwcron is always first to be executed on any date.
That is all I can say.
I am very thankful to you for your help.
