Right now I have a Windows 98se installation that works fine and good. I want to create a multi-boot system with a copy of Redhat Linux. I intend to install Redhat on a different drive than the existing Win98 OS so that I don't have to partition an active drive.

Now all I need are some pointers on what program to use for the dual boot, any complications that might occur with the existing Win98 system, the drive intended for Redhat is FAT32 formatted and is slaved on the same IDE channel as the Win98 system; does this matter and any other relevant advice.

Thanks in advance.

win98se & redhat linux shld have no problem in dual-boot to start with.

with installation & hdd partitioning guide, plse refer to redhat official installation guide:
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-7.2-Manual/install-guide/

FAT32 can't be used with linux, partittion needs to be formatted to ext2 for file system and linux also requires swap partition as virtual memory.

installaiton guide is thorough and well-explained. i'm certain that u'll find it useful.
