Hello I just got done installing LInux MAndrake 8.1 and my first question is how to....enlarge this text size? and is there any anti-virus software for Linux?

Do you want to enlarge the text or lower the resolution? If you'll settle for lowering the resolution, just edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 as root and change it from 1280x1024 to 1024x768, or whatever.

There are wizzard programs to generate this file for you, but if it works, why redo it all? Just change what you want to change.

As for anti-virus software, there are very few harmful viruses for Linux in circulation. Also, they generally don't have a way onto your computer, unlike the 1000 ways to spread a Windows virus with IE and/or Outlook.

I wouldn't worry about viruses at all as long as you have a firewall if you have a direct Internet connection. Also, keep your system up to date, and read log files (if you run servers).
